Bio
I'm a writer based in Washington, DC.
I created Secret Ballot, a weekly newsletter covering culture and political life. I've organized events for the Secret Ballot audience — our first was covered in Feed Me. I work as audience editor at The Spectator. I've reported on media and government parties in Washington and the women of Donald Trump's second administration.
I've appeared on the Stargirl podcast discussing the state of American patriotism in young people living in cities, The Spectator's Americano podcast dissecting the mystery of Usha Vance, and published poems in magazines like Spectra. I received an MFA in Writing from Columbia University. Before that, I attended Wheaton College where I majored in English.
I'd love to hear from you with writing assignments, tips, or if you're interested in collaborating. You can reach me at sarahbethspraggins@gmail.com.
